We think every Canadian should be able to choose a credit card with complete confidence — without wondering whether the advice was paid for.
CreditCardGuru doesn't list every card or issuer in Canada. But everything we do publish — our ratings, our real rewards math, and our free tools — is objective, independent, and free to use.
So how do we make money? Our partners do. When you click an “Apply now” link and are approved for a card, the issuer (or an affiliate network) may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra — you pay exactly the same as you would applying directly with the issuer.
That relationship can influence which cards we feature and where they appear on the site. It does not influence our ratings, rankings, or recommendations. Those are decided before any commercial relationship is considered, using our transparent rating methodology and a lot of hours of research.
No issuer can pay us for a higher rating, a better placement, or a “Guru Pick” badge. Full stop.
